Create a shared question

Procedure 

  1. In the toolbar of the Form List window, click Shared Components.

    The Shared Component Manager dialog box opens.

  2. Open the Shared Questions tab and click the Add button.

    A new question appears at the bottom of the table. The default text for the question caption can be customized in the Caption Editor system tool.

  3. Select the Display Hidden check box above the table to show the hidden status questions in the table.

  4. In the status column of the table, click the status field of the new shared question, and select one of the following statuses from the list:

  5. In the lower pane of the dialog box, in the Question Text field, type the question.

  6. In the Question Type field, select the question type for the shared question from the list. For a description of each question type, see Question types.

  7. In the Recommended Points field, type the points to award for the question.

  8. In the Description field, type a free text description for the shared question.

  9. In the Scores field, enter the scores according to the question type selected. For a description of question scoring, see Set question scoring parameters.

  10. Click OK.

    The changes are saved, the Shared Data Manager dialog box closes, and you return to the Form List.
