New form version generation
Depending on the type of changes you make to a published or hidden form, you may be required to save the form as a new form version. The new form version is generated with the status Under Construction. To publish the new form version, change the status of the currently published version to Hidden, and the status of the new form version to Published.
A new form version is created whenever you change a form in a way that impacts its layout or its score. More specifically, a new form version is created for the following scenarios:

Any change that results in a new component ID.

Any change in the layout or appearance of the form when you select one of the following:

General tab: Hide/Display score, Hide/Display Maximum Score, Form Appearance Defaults, Change Captions

Header tab: Collapse Header, Display Header Comments, Add/Change Custom Data

Footer tab: Collapse Footer, Display Footer Comments, Add/Change Status or Rating

Any change in the Calculation tab.

Any change in the Rules tab.

Opening a form that uses shared data that was deleted.
New form versions are NOT created for the following scenarios:

General tab: Adding form revision notes or changing captions (exept when changing captions of Yes/No questions and Five Rank List questions.

Header tab: Changing the text in the Header Name or Instructions field, including adding or removing Evaluation Custom Data (ECD) values, or other shared data, such as reasons, status or rating (without modifying other forms Tool used in the Interaction and Analytics application to evaluate employee performance, and to assess the interactions from the customer’s perspective. that use the shared data).

Footer tab: Changing the text in the Footer Name or Instructions field.

Questions with a list of custom answers: Changing the text of answer options or adding more answer options for questions that have several custom answer options.
