Define options for question appearance

Procedure

  1. In the navigation tree of the Form Designer window, select an existing question or create a new question. See Create form components.

The Question Properties pane is displayed to the right of the screen.

  2. In the Options field, select any of the following options for the questions:

    • Hide Score: Hides the score when the user fills in the form.

By default, scores appear next to the question in the form. Scores for text list and text questions do not appear next to the question on the form.

    • Mandatory: Marks the question as mandatory.

Forms cannot be submitted unless all mandatory questions have been answered.

For a mandatory question that is a component of a visibility rule (for example, if the mandatory question is hidden or disabled), the form can still be calculated and submitted, even if the mandatory question is not answered.

    • Enable Comment: Makes a comment box of up to 1024 characters available in the question when the user fills in the form.

    • Hide Question: Hides the question when the user fills in the form.

This option is relevant when you set up rules to display the question based on an answer to one of the questions, or based on a value in one of the form custom data fields.

An automated question that is hidden as a result of a visibility rule cannot be automatically answered by the AQM process.

    • Enable Reason: Displays a reason list for the question when the user fills in the form. The Enable Reason option is displayed when reasons exist in the shared data in the Form Designer Library. See Include a reason.

  3. Click Save in the toolbar.
